What this site collects
If you submit the contact form, it stores the name, organisation, email address, the topic selection, your message, the page you submitted from, and the IP address the submission came from. That record is kept in this site’s own database and a copy is emailed to me.
The IP address is stored only to make rate limiting work – it is what stops the form being used to send bulk mail. Nothing else is derived from it.
What it does not do
- No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts
- No mailing list. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to anything
- No selling, sharing, or transferring of message data to anyone
- No cookies beyond a short-lived one that carries form errors back to you after a failed submission
Fonts
Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If that is not acceptable, the fonts can be self-hosted instead – see the theme documentation.
Retention and removal
Messages are kept as long as they are useful and deleted when they are not. If you want a record about you removed, ask through the contact form and it will be deleted.
